This list shows the sitting MPs and MLAs who are thought to be the youngest. It is only accurate to the extent that the birth date of 306 of the 1,039 members currently in office is unknown, because surprisingly, getting that information about them is often more difficult than it is with former members from many years ago.
Given that the territories each get only one MP, they appear by default on the list of the oldest. That could also happen for small jurisdictions in which there is only one man or one woman among the rest — or even none.
