Well that's interesting!
A Saskatchewan Liberal who served four non-consecutive terms in the provincial assembly, Turgeon was the last survivor of the first assembly which was held from the end of 1905 to the summer of 1908. Choosing not to run in the general in 1921, he subsequently pursued a judiscial and diplomatic career. When he died on January 11, 1969, 61 years after his first mandate, he had left partisan politics for more than 47 years.
