Well that's interesting!
A few seconds after midnight on September 1, 1905, Patrick assisted in the delivery of Jennie Gibney, the province's first baby, at the Yorkton Queen Victoria Hospital. In the same hospital on February 1, 1928, four hours after the bells had rung to celebrate Yorkton becoming a city, he assisted in the delivery of Muriel Young, aided by Jennie Gibney, who by then was a registered nurse.
