Well that's interesting!
A federal Liberal from Ontario, Brown placed a motion on the Order Paper in 1955 to urge the government to extend the right to vote to all First Nations Canadians 21 years old and over. In 1967, he introduced a private member's bill that launched the campaign to lower the voting age from 21 to 18. And in 1969, he sponsored another private member's bill that advocated changing the name of Dominion Day to Canada Day.
