Well that's interesting!
Although he ran federally (unsuccessfully) in 1917 under the banner of the Non­partisan League, and served two terms from 1921 to 1930 as the United Farmers of Alberta MLA for Nanton, Galbraith was good friends with two Conservative prime ministers: Richard Bennett and Arthur Meighen.
