Well that's interesting!
One of the petitioners of the Famous Five, Parlby served three consecutive terms in the Alberta assembly from 1921 to 1935 as a United Farmers MLA. She was named person of national historic significance in 1966 and, in 2009, along with the other Famous Five, honorary senator.
