Well that's interesting!
Few better fit the definition of "career politician" than Taylor. Never losing an election, he first ran at age 29 in 1940 and nine more times provincially in Alberta (mostly under the Social Credit banner), then three times federally as a Progressive Conser­vative. After serving more than 48 years, at the age of 78, he chose not to run again in 1988, living nearly 15 years after his retirement from politics.
