Well that's interesting!
Burrell, a Conservative, was badly injured in the fire that destroyed much of the Canadian Parliament on the night of February 3, 1916. He resigned as MP on July 10, 1920, to become librarian for the Library of Parliament, a position he occupied until his death in 1938, aged 79.
