Well that's interesting!
Fisher was the CCF MP for Port Arthur from 1957 to 1965. Nearly 44 years after the end of his last term, he died one day short of his 90th birthday. He was one of the very few CCF members elected during the Diefenbaker era, and he opposed his party's rebranding to the NDP. However, when it was a fait accompli, he ran and won twice under that new banner.
