Perry Mélançon, the PQ candidate, won her seat of Gaspé in 2018 by the skin of her teeth. His plurality of 41 votes against the Liberal candidate was more than seven times less than the number of votes rejected (297). But although she received 829 more votes in 2022, she was defeated by the CAQ candidate Stéphane Sainte-Croix, who obtained a plurality of 710 votes over her. |
