Well that's interesting! | |||||
In his youth, following his parents's political convictions, Taylor was a communist — even fighting against Franco's Fascists during the Spanish Civil War. He left the Communists in 1942, and became a well-known figure in the NDP in Saskatchewan during the 1960s and 1970s. He ran twice unsuccessfully for that party federally, but served on the Saskatoon city council from 1966 to 1982. |
