Well that's interesting!
An unsuccessful Liberal Conservative candidate in the 1919 Ontario general election, McBrien was the chair of the Toronto Transit Commission when his brother Fred died in early July 1938. Oddly, he was involved in a minor car accident on his way to make the funeral arrangements for his brother.
