Well that's interesting!
A Manitoba Liberal MLA from 1914 to 1920, Sims married three times. In 1902, he married a widow 12 years his senior, Catherine Emily Richards, adopting her three children. She died in childbirth the next year. Then, in 1909, he married a widowed nurse 11 years his senior, Christina Sophia McIntosh. His third wife, Mary Elizabeth Campbell, was about his age, but she, too, was a widow.
