Reilly served one term as the Progressive Conservative MP for Ottawa West from 1972 to 1974. After his defeat, he returned to broadcasting; he was one of the founding reporters of CBC Television's fifth estate. One of his reports aired the day he died of apparent heart failure. He was 43 years old. |
