Special notes | ||
Annand was an MLA for Halifax County from 1836 to 1843 (15th and 16th assemblies) and from 1851 to 1859 (19th and 20th assemblies). He was then an MLA for Halifax County Eastern Division from 1859 to 1867 (22nd and 23rd assemblies, as there was no 21st assembly due to a clerical error). He was the second post-Confederation premier of Nova Scotia from 7 November 1867 to 8 May 1875 but he was not an MLA during that time; he sat in the Legislative Council, the provincial equivalent of the Senate. |
