Tthose of us who have been following Canadian politics with great interest for decades still remember the euphoria or the dejection we felt the day after some election campaigns. Sometimes, the outcome marked us so much that, today, we have trouble believing that it all may have happened more than 30 years ago. Political junkies do have long memories! Except what those long memories don’t always account for is that those “scoundrels” not only got booted out of office eventually or chose not to re-offer; it is also quite likely that many of them are dead by now.
But those who study history have long lens and recognize that. Nevertheless, the graphics and tables you will find with this search engine will either surprise you, or make you realize that what seems like yesterday is in fact considerably longer ago in the past.
