Born in New Brunswick, Trueman was a Manitoba lawyer, judge and unsuccessful Liberal candidate in the 1922 provincial election, and was regarded as being erratic and having a hair-trigger temper. When he retired as judge in 1947, his deteriorating mental state was quite evident. |
